That sounds strange, doesn't it? And this article suggests that if he is released, he could be facing some major retribution from John Lennon's legion of fans. I am one of them, but I see no reason to exact any further justice on Chapman if released. I do not believe that Chapman is correct when he suggests Lennon would be merciful and caring about the situation. Lennon could be mean as a snake, when it came to jealosy and bitterness. But Lennon was also a lover of peace and as anti-violent as they come. He would not support any of his fans taking their own revenge. In the end, Chapman should remain in jail for life. That's what a life sentence is supposed to be. Why it isn't, I will never know. That is all.
