Hat tip to InstaPundit for linking to this post at Asymmetrical Information. It basically gives Former President Jimmy Carter some advice so folks will not begin (if they did not already realize it) to think he is now fully partisan. His recent theory that Florida needs election monitors stinks of the same lie that has been bandied about since 2000 - Bush stole the election. The race baiting by saying that blacks will be turned away is despicable. Setting the scene so they will "have" to take the election to the courts again is outragious. Memo to Democrats - if Al Gore had gratiously conceded the election in 2000 when he realized that he had lost the state and thus the election (as every media source that studied the vote after concluded), the US Supreme Court would have never had to get involved. At least they are trying to get the rules in place before-hand this time, rather than waiting for half-time to try and change them as they normally do. That is all.

Dammit, I hate it when people whine about the 2000 election. "Boo hoo Bush didn't win the majority population!" Neither did Garfield, neither did William B. Hayes, and technically neither did Lincoln nor Clinton in 96. We've been running with the Electoral system for all our life, we shouldn't remove it because some people don't like losing. And what is this stuff about the election being decided by the Supreme Court like it was Bush's fault? Al Gore fought for it!
I remember my AP Government teacher was pro-Gore until Gore brought the lawyers to the election. Then he said he wished he could take his vote back. He also mentioned that Nixon had the same situation when he faced Kennedy, and when given the option to fight for the election he chose to back down instead. My AP Government teacher said it's sad when you wished Nixon was running for office again.
