If you have been following the story behind the making of this film, you should read this fantastic column by Don Feder standing up for Gibson and his vision. I have yet to hear it put any better. There are no specific quotes because the whole thing is worthy of highlighting. Read it. That is all.

As far as I am aware, there is no thought of doing a sequel to the film. In fact, I'm not sure why he would want to as The Passion itself was the story he wanted to tell. Maybe I misunderstand the question.
